About Freelance Toolbox

Freelance Toolbox is a small collection of free calculators for freelancers, contractors, and self-employed people. Every tool runs entirely in your browser: nothing you type is sent to a server, and there is no account to create.

Who it's for

People who work for themselves and need a quick, honest answer to a practical money question — what should I charge, how much should I set aside for tax, what does this invoice come to — without wading through a sales funnel to get it.

How the calculators work

Every calculator shows its working. You can see which assumptions went into the number, which means you can also see when those assumptions don't match your situation and adjust accordingly. These are estimates for general guidance, not professional tax, legal, or financial advice — for decisions that matter, talk to an accountant who knows your jurisdiction.

How this site stays free

The tools are free and always will be. Where a calculator naturally leads to a category of software — invoicing, accounting, contracts — the site may link to tools in that category and earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you.
